Project for the digitization of business processes

Project Objectives

The project is specifically aimed at digitizing WearableRobotics’ main business processes, with a primary focus on research and development management and pre-series and small-batch production, with particular reference to the development of prototypes of wearable robotic devices for rehabilitation use.

The WR FORWARD project is therefore specifically dedicated to the most important part of WR’s activities, namely the development, production, and marketing of biomedical exoskeletons for neurorehabilitation. This type of robotic exoskeleton undoubtedly represents the core of Wearable’s production and the most important in terms of technological development and regulatory and compliance constraints. In a nutshell, the project’s focus on Additive Manufacturing is aimed at implementing an integrated system capable of linking the Research and Development function to the latest generation of 3D printing devices – already partially used by WR’s RS staff – with a focus on the development, prototyping, and real-time definition of experimental design components that make up the prototype bill of materials. In summary, the WR FORWARD project is divided into three interdependent and complementary lines of action that strategically aim to guide the complete digitization of primary and secondary business processes. As previously mentioned, the main focus is on the digitization of processes related to production and prototyping through the request for the activation of a type A service such as Additive Manufacturing with identifier B5.6. The WR FORWARD project is then completed by the request for the activation of two type B services, identified as B5.1 Horizontal and Vertical Integration and a second service with identifier B5.2 relating to Cloud Computing services.
